i remember the Adrenal crashes i had in the past Decades and they were ALL Hormone related, either i had gotten off the Pill or had a baby, or now……..Peri-Menopause, now come to think of it, i always thought i was overweight due to bad habits but now i know, that is NOT TRUE, it was Always an Hormonal Imbalance of some kind (not my thyroid, that is fine) now i look like i have Cushings….the “Moon Face” but my tests come back okay, so TOOO much Cortisol, now not enough? what the HECK am i supposed to do?

Adrenals are the stress-response organ so if they are dysfunctional, I recommend looking for root cause – subclinical infection, toxic exposure (mold, chemicals, glyphosate), gut dysbiosis, etc. I recommend a nearly grain-free paleo diet with high healthy fats like avocado, coconut, olive oils and moderate protein (fish, chicken, eggs) and low carbohydrate with your carb intake being in the evening. For adrenals best to consume fat/protein in AM and minimal carbs. You may do ok on some cooked rice/quinoa but otherwise grain-free. It is clear that your current diet is not working if you are feeling poorly and gaining weight…

i have been on entocort steroids for a year now 9mg and recently down to 6 mg – I want to get off but have been told to go slowly due to adrenals. Can you explain why to me and how I should go about this. I did the eye test and mine pulsed as well. I sleep great but also take ketotifen which is a mast cell stabilizer and makes me very sleepy. Can you also tell us what do to for adrenal support thx

Anyway, I’ve been eating a vegan diet lately (McDougall/Esselstyn style) as there is heart disease and diabetes in my family, but seem to be be gaining weight on it, even though my calories aren’t that high. One glaring problem for the adrenal fatigue concept is that the reported symptoms don’t match those from adrenal insufficiency, although there is some overlap. The adrenal fatigue symptoms are “mostly nonspecific” including being tired or fatigued to the point of having trouble getting out of bed; experiencing poor sleep; feeling anxious, nervous, or rundown; craving salty and sweet snacks; and having “gut problems,” says Nieman.
